Cody Rhodes called Danhausen the current king of WWE’s merchandise game during a media appearance on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike ahead of Clash in Italy.
“I think it’s safe to say Danhausen is one of the most popular people in all of WWE at the moment, and I don’t see it stopping. He overtook the merch game,” Rhodes said. “I’ll tell you who is the king right now in the merch game — it is Danhausen. He’s beating us all.”
Per PWInsider, Triple H and Nick Khan also praised Danhausen internally at a recent company Town Hall, noting he is WWE’s number two merchandise seller just two months into his run, with three of his shirt designs in the top five best-selling shirts. He has launched branded collaborations with the Kentucky Wildcats and New York Knicks.
Danhausen debuted at WWE Elimination Chamber in March, emerging from a coffin. He responded to Rhodes’ comments by declaring a “temporary trucehausen” with the Undisputed WWE Champion.
