Ronda Rousey pushed back on critics of her 17-second submission win over Gina Carano at MVP MMA 1 on May 16, speaking on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams.
“First off, it’s my third fastest fight. What are you talking about? What were you expecting?” Rousey said.
Rousey also addressed a rematch challenge from Holly Holm, who handed Rousey her first UFC loss in 2015. “I would clean her clock, but that redemption is no longer important to me.”
Rousey said after her win over Carano that she is going back into retirement. The fight, a featherweight bout under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions on Netflix, was her first MMA competition since 2016.
