Jacob Fatu suffered a back injury at Thursday’s WWE house show in Liverpool, England during his Street Fight against Solo Sikoa, per PWInsider. He was seen limping backstage after the match, with medical staff meeting him at the curtain.
The injury is described as involving his back. WWE is currently operating under the expectation that Fatu will be able to compete this Sunday, per False Finish’s Cory Hays, who reported that WWE sources say he is “expected to be okay as of now.” However, the company is also exploring potential pivots in the event he cannot be cleared in time.
Fatu is scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Tribal Combat match at Clash in Italy on Sunday in Turin. No changes to the card have been officially announced.
