Enzo Amore is expected to return to WWE NXT soon, per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The situation around Big Bill (formerly Big Cass in WWE) is less clear, with Meltzer noting that while there is significant outside speculation about his return, “nothing on Big Bill is official or even talked about heavily in the company.”
Multiple sources have contributed to the developing story over the past week. WrestleVotes reported WWE has genuine interest in reuniting the former team. False Finish confirmed Amore was at the WWE Performance Center recently ahead of an NXT taping. Fightful Select reported that independent promoters are being told Amore is no longer taking future bookings, with those promoters assuming a WWE return is imminent.
Big Bill’s AEW contract is believed to expire in late May or early June, per Fightful Select. He last competed on the April 6 ROH episode and his last AEW television appearance came at a Collision taping in early February.
Amore was released from WWE in January 2018 following sexual assault allegations that were later closed without charges. Big Cass was released in June 2018. Both have been working the independent circuit and AEW since.
