TNA confirmed several new matches for Slammiversary on June 28 at Agganis Arena in Boston during Wednesday’s episode of TNA iMPACT! on AMC.
Ricky Sosa made his long-awaited TNA return and confronted Eric Young, contributing to Young losing his title match against Mike Santana. Sosa vs. Young is now set for Slammiversary.
Rosemary, Allie, and Mara Sadé defeated The Elegance Brand in a trios match, with Allie pinning Heather by Elegance. The win earned Allie and Rosemary a Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match at Slammiversary.
The System (Cedric Alexander and Eddie Edwards) defeated Fabian Aichner and Leon Slater, but afterward The System jumped both Aichner and Slater. Moose returned to make the save. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella subsequently confirmed Moose vs. Eddie Edwards for Slammiversary, and announced the World Tag Team Championships will be defended in a three-way ladder match between The System, The Righteous, and The Hardys.
