Sami Callihan announced he has parted ways with TNA on X, saying he thought he was being called about a creative role and instead received his release.
“Thought I was getting called today to be offered a position in creative… nope. I’ve parted ways with TNA. Oh well… onward to the next adventure. Check out my company @PWRevolver,” Callihan wrote.
Callihan retired as an in-ring performer at TNA Emergence in August 2025 and had since been working as a backstage producer. Per Fightful Select, he was also responsible for designing and producing the majority of TNA’s merchandise over the past year. Multiple TNA wrestlers had pushed for Callihan to be added to the creative team, but the move never materialized.
TNA publicly acknowledged Tommy Dreamer’s departure but did not issue a statement on Callihan’s exit.
