Tessa Blanchard has been released by TNA and has committed fully to CMLL, appearing on CMLL Informa to confirm the move after her departure was reported by the Wrestling Observer on June 16 and confirmed by TNA on June 17.
Blanchard said TNA gave her an ultimatum. “The U.S. company asked me, ‘Tessa, you need to decide whether you’re a CMLL wrestler or a TNA wrestler.’ I took my time to think it over with my dad, whom I trust very much. My life is here.”
She said the decision was clear. “I have many goals to achieve here, and I already reached the top of the mountain. I won everything over there, but here I have many dreams and goals to pursue. I needed to focus my career and my life here in Mexico, and from this moment on, I’m 100% with CMLL.”
Blanchard had been appearing on CMLL regularly despite being under TNA contract. Her departure is the third major TNA exit this week alongside Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan.
