Tommy Dreamer has departed TNA Wrestling as part of a company-wide workforce reduction, announcing the split on Busted Open Radio on Wednesday. Dreamer and TNA President Carlos Silva agreed to part ways mutually. The company described the move as part of a “workforce reduction, designed to streamline operations and sharpen strategic focus and profitability.”
Dreamer had been with TNA since 2018 in his third stint with the company, working in creative since January 2019 and also in talent relations. Per Fightful Select, some within TNA knew the departure was coming in recent weeks but expected it to happen after Slammiversary.
Hunter “Delirious” Johnson will now serve as the head of TNA creative, per PWInsider. Delirious was previously ROH’s head booker from August 2010 until Tony Khan purchased the company in March 2022, joining TNA later that year and working in creative since 2023.
Road Dogg (Brian James) has been discussed internally as a possible addition to TNA’s creative team. Per Dave Meltzer, TNA and Road Dogg have been in talks for weeks, though he was expected to work alongside Dreamer rather than replace him. Road Dogg left his WWE SmackDown writing role in March 2026.
