US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis needs 60 percent of its roof replaced following hail damage sustained in 2023, but WWE SummerSlam on August 1-2 will not be impacted, per a WWE source relayed by WrestleVotes.
The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority described the repairs as “proactive” and confirmed the venue is structurally safe for all events ahead of the work. “All Minnesotans can be confident that the roof at US Bank Stadium is safe, that proactive steps are in place to preserve its unique environment,” a statement from the MSFA read. Design firm proposals for the repair project are due June 25. No repair timeline has been announced.
