WWE has confirmed three major matches for SummerSlam 2026, which takes place across two nights — Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2 — at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. The match was made official on the June 29 Raw in Atlantic City after Rollins confronted Reigns, reminding him of their shared history since The Shield’s breakup. “You’re right. I don’t want to beat you, I need to beat you. I need my entire family to witness me beating you. At SummerSlam, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. I accept,” Reigns said.
Oba Femi will challenge Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. Femi earned a world title shot of his choosing by winning the King of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions, but Lesnar returned on the same June 29 Raw to attack him. Femi got up, insulted Lesnar, and challenged him on the spot. Lesnar accepted on the condition the match be contested inside Hell in a Cell.
IYO SKY will challenge Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship. SKY won the Queen of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions and immediately called her shot against Morgan in the ring.
SummerSlam will be the first SummerSlam to stream on ESPN in the United States and the first WWE stadium event held in Minneapolis.
