The July 1 episode of NXT on The CW serves as the Great American Bash fallout show. Kendal Grey opened the show as new champion to address the NXT audience. Tony D’Angelo also addressed his title retention before Naraku attacked him with a steel chair backstage, with medical staff separating the two.
