WWE was responsible for blurring Bron Breakker’s bloodied face on the Netflix replay of Night of Champions, per PWInsider. In addition to the blur, some camera angles were replaced with alternate shots and at least one instance had a crowd shot inserted to avoid showing Breakker’s blood. The live broadcast crowd’s “Holy shit!” chants were also replaced with “This is awesome!” chants on the replay.
Breakker was busted open after Seth Rollins hit a superplex from the top of the cage during their steel cage match. The blurring of his entire head while he was on screen drew widespread attention and criticism on social media, with many fans calling the edit more noticeable than the blood would have been.
It is not yet confirmed whether the edits represent a new content policy for WWE event replays on Netflix.
