Two matches have been announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 at Madison Square Garden: Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh and a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship defense by Paige and Brie Bella against Fatal Influence, per F4WOnline.
The Danhausen match was confirmed in a SmackDown backstage segment where he told Matt Cardona he would be wrestling McDonagh. Cardona offered to have his back, but Danhausen revealed he already has a mystery backup — someone in New York he would be contacting soon. On the same show, Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence defeated Brie Bella to set up the tag title match.
Danhausen’s Judgment Day feud stems from him refusing to curse Oba Femi ahead of the King of the Ring semifinals, leading Dominik Mysterio to lose. He also placed a curse on Liv Morgan before her Queen of the Ring final, which she lost to IYO SKY. Danhausen gained widespread attention in the New York area for uncursing the Knicks ahead of their NBA championship run.
