Hangman Adam Page returned to AEW on Saturday’s Collision from Roanoke, Virginia — his home state — for his first appearance since losing to MJF at AEW Revolution in March. Page addressed the stipulation from that match: if he lost, he could never challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
“I intend to be a man of my word. I will never challenge for the AEW Men’s World Championship ever again,” Page said.
He explained his absence included physical therapy for cervical radiculopathy, a pinched nerve in the neck. He credited Kenny Omega’s world title win at Beach Break and post-match speech about finishing the race as motivating his return.
With the world title no longer an option, Page turned his attention to other championships, specifically naming the TNT Championship (Kevin Knight), National Championship (Mark Davis), Continental Championship (Jon Moxley), and International Championship (Kyle Fletcher). He closed with a question: “For seven years I have defined myself with one goal — to chase, to win, and to hold the world championship. Who is Hangman Page without the world championship? The honest truth is I don’t know. But we are damn sure going to find out, aren’t we?”
