Sheamus remains under WWE contract until October 1, 2026, according to a Fightful Select report on Sunday. It was reported on July 5 that the 48-year-old was set to leave WWE when his deal expired, and at the time his contract was believed to be running out soon.
The report notes it is unclear whether time was added to Sheamus’ contract or what led to the deal expiring later than first believed.
Sheamus is also said to have swiftly rejected a restructured deal WWE offered him earlier this year, though Fightful noted the offer was not presented as an ultimatum the way some other deals have been.
Sheamus debuted with WWE in late 2006 and has been with the company for nearly 20 years. He is a three-time WWE Champion and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion.
