Will Ospreay says Tony Khan is getting his money’s worth out of him, pushing back on a joke that he was scamming AEW with his travel. Ospreay, who lives in England and flies to the United States for AEW, was asked about it on Under The Mat With Simon Miller, with Miller joking that he was building up air miles at Khan’s expense.
“No, I’m not scamming Tony. He’s getting well his money’s worth out of me. Come on. I mean, look at all the killer matches I’ve done for him. Look at all those five stars, Dave Meltzer definitely pays for my contract.”
The two went on to joke about Ospreay’s standing as the leading five-star contender, comparing him to Mario collecting stars. Ospreay has more than 55 matches rated five stars or higher by Dave Meltzer.
Ospreay challenges Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title at All In next month in his hometown of London.
