The Tennessee State Senate has honored the Nashville Kats with a statewide proclamation recognizing the arena football team’s 2026 season. Senate Speaker Randy McNally and Senator Bill Powers of the 22nd District, who sponsored it, signed the proclamation on July 14.
The proclamation notes the Kats finished the regular season with nine straight wins to take the No. 1 seed in the Arena Football One playoffs at 11-1, and that the team led the league in ticket sales, attendance, and merchandise sales. It also recognized head coach Darren Arbet, who became the second coach in indoor football history to reach 200 career wins and now sits at 204, and the team’s community work and support of the Fort Campbell military community.
The Kats are owned by Jeff Fisher, Jeff Jarrett, and Greg Pogue. They hosted the Michigan Arsenal in the AF1 semifinal on August 2 at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville.
