Hangman Page, Brody King, and Bandido won the AEW World Trios Championships from The Demand at Grand Slam Mexico on Wednesday at Arena Mexico.
The finish came when Page kicked Toa Liona and hit a Buckshot lariat on him while Bandido was struggling to lift him for a 21 Plex. Liona went down and Bandido covered him for the pin.
It was the first match as a team for the trio, who were named The Good, The Bad and The Ugly last week. Page had come out to help King when The Demand and Lethal Twist attacked King and The Conglomeration on last Wednesday’s Dynamite.
It is a second Trios title reign for both Page and King, each with different partners. It is Bandido’s first, and he now holds the ROH World Championship at the same time.
The loss ends an eight-day reign for Ricochet, Liona, and Bishop Kaun. They won the titles from Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly last Wednesday and defended against The Rascalz on Thursday, the same show where the Grand Slam Mexico match was set.
Page opened last year’s first Grand Slam Mexico with a promo in Spanish building his AEW World Championship challenge to Jon Moxley at All In: Texas.
