Zilla Fatu lost the HOG Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red at HOG: High Intensity in Jamaica, New York, and both Red and the commentary team framed the match as his exit from the promotion.
Red won after a code red off the top rope followed by two frog splashes. The crowd chanted “Thank you Zilla” as Red picked up the microphone.
“I’m usually on the other side of stuff like this,” Red said. “Zilla, real simple: good luck.”
“The best is yet to come for Zilla Fatu,” the announcers said. Fatu shook Red’s hand and bowed to him. “Greener pastures, bigger stages await Zilla Fatu,” the announcers added, and said there was a lot of success ahead for him.
Fatu, the son of the late Umaga, first won the title in July 2024 from Carlos Ramirez. He held it throughout apart from a month last summer, when he lost it to Bully Ray and won it back.
Fatu was reportedly seen at the WWE Performance Center in June. He is a first cousin to Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa, and to Jacob Fatu.
