Darby Allin got married the day before Forbidden Door, and the reception got physical.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Allin said Brody King chopped his father at the wedding, his mother slammed him onto thumbtacks, and the honeymoon was the pay-per-view.
“Everyone’s like, ‘What are you going to do for the honeymoon?’ I’m like, ‘I ain’t got a honeymoon. I’m going to get thrown face-first in thumbtacks for my honeymoon.'”
Allin said the outdoor ceremony in Seattle nearly ran into an 80 percent chance of rain before the day arrived with perfect weather, saving a setup that included a mechanical bull. He said the event balanced both halves of the couple.
“It was incredible because we got the best of both worlds. My wife, who’s an ICU nurse, she wanted a soft, elegant wedding, but I needed my craziest. So we got the best of both worlds.”
He also sabotaged one of his best men moments before the ceremony.
“Right before we walked out to do the ceremony I gave my brother the hottest gummy bear in the world. So he’s dying. He’s one of the best men. He’s dying on the thing just crying. Everyone was like, ‘Man, he’s really emotional. He’s really happy that his brother’s getting married,’ but they didn’t know that I gave him this hot a– gummy bear and he was dying.”
“But uh, yeah, my mom body slammed me on some thumbtacks.”
