The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are ecstatic to announce the Salute to Service campaign in partnership with Two One Seven Mortgage powered by New American Funding.
At each Lucky Horseshoes game throughout the 2024 season, a veteran or active service member will be honored and recognized in front of the entire crowd. Each honoree will receive in-game recognition for their commitment to protecting the United States of America, tickets and dinner for them and their family, and they will also receive a commemorative letter of recognition from the Lucky Horseshoes.
Two One Seven Mortgage Senior Loan Consultant Fred Weber is excited to work alongside the ‘Shoes to recognize our local heroes.
“We’re always looking for ways to show our thanks and appreciation for our country’s veterans and active service members, and are looking forward to our Salute to Service Campaign this Summer. I’m excited to see all of the local service members in our community be recognized throughout the summer for their selfless acts, and enjoy a nice, stress-free night out at the ballpark with their families,” said Weber.
‘Shoes fans are encouraged to nominate veterans and active service members in their communities to be recognized at a Lucky Horseshoes game. Nominations may be made by filling out an online form that can be found by clicking here or on Shoesbaseball.com.
The honorees will be selected in coordination with the Chatham-Auburn VFW Post 4763. The selection committee includes decorated veterans including U.S. Marine veterans Christine Bailey and John Mizer, U.S Army veteran Clayton Yantis, and U.S. Navy veteran Kimberly Fuiten, all from the local Springfield Area.
Nominations are open now through July 1st.
