Grizzled Young Veterans, also known as Grizzled Young Vets, composed of James Drake and Zack Gibson, are prominent figures in the wrestling world.
There had been a report that there were ongoing discussions regarding a potential contract with AEW have been taking place. While a deal was not confirmed as of last week, AEW remains keen on bringing the talented duo on board.
The duo first entered WWE in 2018 and quickly rose to become the inaugural UK Tag Team Champions. However, in 2023, they decided to part ways with the company. Their AEW debut took place in late April, where they faced The Acclaimed but unfortunately suffered a loss on an episode of AEW Collision.
Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Zack Gibson discussed a potential return to the promotion.
“We never burned any bridges, we can always reopen those talks if we wanted to. Similarly, if we’re enjoying ourselves more elsewhere, then we may never need to go back. We’re not set on any one particular path. We just wanted to get our stock moving in the right direction again. Since leaving WWE, we made the right decision,” Gibson said.
