Jeff Jarrett agrees that Tony Khan and Vince McMahon have something in common: wrestling is their life.
John Morrison recently compared Khan to McMahon, saying Khan could have done anything with his life but chose wrestling and works hard at it. On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett was asked for his take.
“Tony, born and raised ECW, WCW, he knows the Memphis territory as well as I do, sometimes better. He’s a born wrestling fan, so it’s a passion of his.”
Jarrett noted the two had very different upbringings, but said Khan is just as hands-on.
Jarrett noted that Khan was at every AEW live event during a short run of house shows when Jarrett first joined the company.
“He’s at every Ring of Honor taping. So yes, he is hands on, and I think that’s where John was going.”
Jarrett said he approached TNA the same way.
“When I’m running TNA, even through my wife’s illness, for better or worse, never missed anything. I left the ICU and flew to a pay-per-view and flew back to the ICU.”
“You’ve got to live this industry to be successful. And when you have a real drive for the industry, it’s not work.”
