The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) won’t be joining WWE together just yet, as Rey Fenix plans to stay with AEW longer than he initially thought.

WWE has been watching them for some time. According to Fightful, Penta mentioned to someone close that he had discussions with WWE earlier this summer. However, both Fenix and Penta are still under contract.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer shared that Penta is set to join WWE once his contract expires in the next couple of months. Meltzer noted, “As for Fenix, AEW is adding on injury time, which is almost a year. Khan made significant offers for him to stay, but they didn’t agree to a new deal.”
