“Timeless” Toni Storm is ready to take on all challengers. On the September 6 episode of AEW Collision, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion laid out a huge challenge for the upcoming All Out pay-per-view, stating her willingness to defend her championship in a four-way match against Kris Statlander, the returning Jamie Hayter, and Thekla.
The bold proposition came after a chaotic eight-woman tag team match that saw Storm and Statlander on the winning side, but then subsequently attacked by Thekla and the Triangle of Madness. The save was made by Hayter, who has had issues with the faction since her own return at Forbidden Door.
The challenge was issued following an eight-woman all-star tag team match on Collision. The team of Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Kris Statlander, and Harley Cameron was victorious over the quartet of Megan Bayne and The Triangle Of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, & Skye Blue). After the match, the Triangle of Madness launched a post-match assault on Storm and Statlander, who had been on opposite sides of the title picture for much of the past year.
This is when Jamie Hayter, who made her surprise return from injury at Forbidden Door to confront Thekla and her group, ran down to the ring to even the odds. The segment ended with Storm, Statlander, and Hayter standing tall, setting the stage for what could be a massive and unpredictable championship encounter at the Toronto pay-per-view on September 20.
