A new match has been officially announced for the September 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, which has been given the special title of “September to Remember.” The singles contest will feature The Beast Mortos taking on Máscara Dorada in the third and final qualifying match of the AEW Unified Championship tournament. The winner of this bout will advance to the three-way match for the championship at the All Out pay-per-view on Saturday, September 20. This match joins what is expected to be a loaded card for the special episode, which will be the go-home show before the major event in Toronto. The clash between the powerhouse Mortos and the high-flying Dorada promises to be an exciting encounter with significant championship implications.
The other two participants in the All Out three-way match will be determined on this week’s episode of AEW Collision on Saturday, September 13. In one qualifier, Konosuke Takeshita will face Anthony Bowens. The other qualifying match on that show carries even higher stakes, as the current AEW Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada, must defend his championship against Michael Oku. The winner of that match will not only advance to All Out but will also leave Collision as the reigning champion. The unique tournament structure has added a great deal of intrigue and unpredictability to the AEW Unified Championship picture on the road to one of AEW’s biggest shows of the year.
