The viewership numbers for the Wednesday, September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite have been released by Wrestlenomics. The show, which was the final event of AEW’s residency at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, averaged 638,000 viewers on TBS. This number is a decrease of 4.4% from the previous week’s viewership. However, it still stands as the second-highest total audience for the program since August 13, suggesting a level of stability after a recent slump. The episode was a significant one, featuring the in-ring return of Orange Cassidy and the official announcement of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
In the key 18-49 demographic, Dynamite drew a 0.14 rating, which is the same rating it achieved in the prior week. This number ties for the best rating the show has done in that coveted category since August 20. According to Wrestlenomics, Dynamite finished sixth on cable for the night. The show did not face any major sports competition, but it did go up against the season premiere of “Survivor” on CBS, which is traditionally one of television’s highest-rated shows, as well as premiere episodes for other major broadcast networks. When compared to the same week in 2024, the show’s overall viewership was down 9.1 percent, and its key demographic rating was down a significant 39.1 percent, though this year’s numbers do not include the additional viewers from the Max streaming simulcast.
