A new report from Fightful Select has provided an update on the status of the wrestler Luther, who has been absent from AEW television in recent weeks. Luther had become a regular on-screen presence as the butler for the “Timeless” Toni Storm character, but he has not been seen alongside the former AEW Women’s World Champion since her appearance at the All In: Texas pay-per-view. His sudden disappearance from the popular act led many fans to question his status with the company and the reason for his absence from the storyline.
According to the report, Luther is still with All Elite Wrestling. While there has been no on-screen explanation for his absence from the “Timeless” Toni Storm act, he has reportedly been working backstage as a producer and coach for “quite a while.” The producer role is a common one for veteran wrestlers, allowing them to lend their experience to help structure matches and guide younger talent. The report noted that it is currently unknown which specific matches he has produced, as AEW’s producer lists are not as widely reported as those from WWE. This update should put to rest any speculation that Luther has departed the company, confirming that he remains an active part of the backstage team.
