All Elite Wrestling is bringing back a fan-favorite Halloween theme for its show next week. The company announced that the October 29 episode of AEW Dynamite will be a special “Fright Night” edition. The pre-Halloween spectacular is scheduled to take place at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. This will be another extended night of action for AEW fans, as the event will feature a live broadcast of Dynamite followed by a taping for the November 1 episode of AEW Collision. The show will air in its usual time slot on TBS and will also be simulcast on HBO Max.
The “Fright Night” special is already shaping up to be a historic show, as it was announced that the first-round matches of the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament will kick off during the event. No other specific matches or segments have been announced for the card as of this writing, but the start of the highly anticipated tournament will be the main focus of the evening. The bracket for the tournament was recently revealed and features blockbuster teams like Mercedes Moné & Athena, Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa, and Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata.
This marks the return of the “Fright Night” theme for the company. Last year’s “Fright Night” Dynamite, which took place on October 30, 2024, was a newsworthy show in its own right. That event saw Private Party score a major upset to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships from The Young Bucks. It also featured the shocking AEW debut of Bobby Lashley, who attacked Swerve Strickland and reunited with MVP and Shelton Benjamin to reform The Hurt Syndicate. That show also featured a singles match where Kris Statlander, who is now the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion, defeated Kamille. Fans will be eager to see what surprises AEW has in store for this year’s installment.
