Nixon Newell (formerly Tegan Nox) has pushed back against a recent report detailing “purported issues” surrounding her and Miranda Alize’s recent AEW debut. A report from Fightful Select had cited sources claiming that AEW’s Bryan Danielson “wasn’t thrilled” and had spoken to the pair after their November 1 Collision match.
According to the latest update from Fightful Select, Newell reached out to them to dispute these details. She claimed that neither she nor Alize have ever met Bryan Danielson in person. Newell stated: “All false information. We have never met Bryan in person”. She also reiterated that she was respectful during her appearance and that they “never said a bad word about AEW”.
The initial report also mentioned a past issue at an independent booking, where Newell allegedly left the show before a planned run-in. Newell disputed this as well, saying she wasn’t told about the run-in until an hour before her own match and had to leave. This contradicted an allegation from another talent who claimed they spoke to Newell directly about the run-in. Fightful noted that they saw messages between Newell and the promoter discussing a return, suggesting the incident was a “communication-related” issue.
