A new report from Fightful Select has provided backstage injury updates following AEW’s brutal Blood & Guts special episode of Dynamite.
In the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match, Jamie Hayter reportedly got “banged up” and may have suffered “several chipped teeth.” However, one source noted that she was “as bad ass as you would expect” about the injuries. Her opponent, Skye Blue, who was bleeding profusely and wore a “crimson mask” for much of the match, is reportedly “okay.”
In the night’s other violent encounter, the Falls Count Anywhere match, both “Hangman” Adam Page and Powerhouse Hobbs reportedly had “no serious injuries,” with sources saying they were just “sore” after their battle. There is no word yet on the condition of the competitors from the men’s Blood & Guts main event.
The report also noted that fewer people than normal traveled to the show, as there were only three matches on the card and no Collision matches were taped.
