Liv Morgan’s Hollywood aspirations have hit a familiar roadblock.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the current WWE star was offered a role in Queen of the Ring, the biopic about wrestling legend Mildred Burke. However, WWE reportedly blocked Morgan from accepting the offer. The exact role Morgan was considered for remains unclear, though the film features Emily Bett Rickards as Burke.
This situation mirrors what happened with Charlotte Flair, who was originally cast as June Byers in the same project before being pulled by WWE and replaced by NWA star Kamille. Despite this setback, Morgan did complete filming on Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo in May 2025, a spiritual successor to the Bad Lieutenant franchise directed by Takashi Miike.
The film Queen of the Ring premiered in March 2025 and is currently streaming. The project featured several other wrestling personalities, including AEW’s Toni Storm. Morgan, meanwhile, recently returned to WWE television at Survivor Series, where she helped Dominik Mysterio win the Intercontinental Championship.
