Joe Hendry’s move to NXT is official, and his motivation is clear: he wants to be the best.
The former TNA star, who was officially added to the NXT roster last week, appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast to discuss his transition. Hendry revealed that his obsession with improving as a performer led him to the WWE Performance Center, even if it meant sacrificing hobbies like video games.
“For me, the primary reason why I chose to come to NXT was to to evolve as a wrestler. Because I really feel I can take this all the way. And the Performance Center has tools for me to do that. But I become — like, I am obsessed with getting better,” Hendry said.
Hendry admitted he finds it difficult to “switch off” from the business now, viewing free time as time that could be used to improve his craft.
