Will Ospreay’s return at AEW Revolution 2026 was a surprise to fans — but it was a long time coming for the man himself. In a social media post on Monday, Ospreay revealed that he received medical clearance to return to the ring on February 25, weeks before he actually appeared at Revolution.
Ospreay made his comeback following the Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Continental Championship match, when a vignette aired showing him emerging from a restoration chamber before his theme “Elevated” hit and he walked out to a huge reaction. It was his first appearance on AEW television since being brutally attacked by the Death Riders at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, an assault that led to neck surgery and a lengthy recovery.
