Ric Flair has apologized for publicly airing his frustrations after a social media dispute with his son David Flair over the “Flair” trademark and announced he is stepping back to focus on his health.
After his initial legal threat post and a follow-up clarifying he was not actually suing his son, both of which were deleted, Flair posted a third message Saturday citing health issues as the source of his frustration.
“If You Understood The Health Issues That I Deal With And Am Currently Dealing With, You Would Understand Why I Get Frustrated In Life With A Lot Of People. I’m Sorry For The Frustration. I Am Taking Time To Focus On My Health,” Flair wrote, accompanying the post with a photo of himself outside a hospital.
In the deleted clarification post, Flair had addressed David directly, telling him he cannot use both the Flair name and his own birth name Fliehr interchangeably, and instructing him not to sell any wrestling robes he had been allowed to use during his WCW career. “You’re 47 Years Old. Now Stand On Your Own Two Feet Please,” Flair wrote.
