Maria Kanellis-Bennett provided a positive health update on the Wrestling Life Online podcast, saying she is doing well after surgery removed a rare tumor from her adrenal gland two years ago.
“It’s a one in a million tumor. I had so many doctors that are like, ‘You just never see these,'” Maria said. “It was a tumor that literally engulfed my adrenal gland.”
She credited her doctor for catching it. “A lot of times they don’t find them, because why would you? Why would you scan your adrenal gland? But thank God for my doctor. I’m an incredibly blessed woman.”
Maria has appeared for WWE, TNA, AEW, and ROH during her career and is a former TNA Knockouts Champion.
