WWE has removed Rhea Ripley from its list of champions and dropped the interim tag from Chelsea Green’s Women’s Championship.
Ripley beat Jade Cargill for the title at WrestleMania 42 and retained it in a rematch at Clash In Paris before a knee injury took her out of action. Doctors found a torn meniscus that required surgery.
With Ripley unable to defend, WWE held a five-way ladder match at SummerSlam 2026, won by Green, who was recognised as Interim Champion. WWE.com now lists Green as Women’s Champion with no interim designation.
