Will Ospreay owns the United Empire name, according to Fightful Select.
Ospreay formed the United Empire in New Japan Pro Wrestling and has continued to use the name in AEW. According to the report, NJPW does not own it. Ospreay filed a trademark for “United Empire” in April with the help of trademark attorney Michael Dockins.
Multiple sources told Fightful that because Ospreay owns the name, he is free to use it however he wants, including in AEW.
