PENTA Wasn’t In Line To Win Money In The Bank A Month Ago

PENTA was not in line to win Money in the Bank a month before the show, according to WrestleVotes.

PENTA won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match on October 10 in New Orleans.

During a WrestleVotes Q&A session, JoeyVotes said PENTA’s match against Roman Reigns on the September 14 episode of Raw in Mexico City changed how he was viewed internally.

“A lot of plans changed post-Mexico City. He was the creative favorite. Those within thought PENTA was going to win that match. Three weeks later, he ended up winning it. So he did a lot of good for himself at Mexico City. Don’t know if that’s gonna translate into him winning the title eventually, but he wasn’t supposed to be in this spot a month ago.”
