Jeff Jarrett says Ron Killings would have been his pick for TNA’s top heel champion if Jarrett had not held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett was asked which heel he would have given the spot to in TNA’s early years.
“I really, really, really like Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings heel. He had promo charisma, and he could be a heel or babyface,” Jarrett said. “But Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings as a heel would be right up there at the very, very top.”
Killings won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in TNA in 2002. He later wrestled in WWE as R-Truth.
Jarrett also named Monty Brown as an option.
“Monty, I thought if we’re going to stay on the heel, Monty could have made a good heel champion as well. Christian was later champion,” Jarrett said. “I’m gonna say Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings.”
