Jeff Jarrett says Bill Dundee was the first to teach him how to blade.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett was asked whether blading is taught during training. He said Dundee came to mind after his death in September at 82.
“At the passing of Bill Dundee, I literally, that was one of the thoughts that went through my head. That Bill’s the first one that broke me in on that craft,” Jarrett said. “I remember that night fondly because at least driving home, or maybe the next couple days, I told myself, ‘Self, that ain’t ever happening again. I will do it on my own.'”
Jarrett said he does not believe it is taught in training.
“I don’t think you have any business teaching it in training… You need to learn how to have a single match, a tag match, probably a six-man, probably being a heel, a babyface. You need to have quite a bit of seasoning before you enter into that.”
