Bruce Prichard is expected to step down as WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent after WrestleMania 43, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
Johnson reported that multiple sources confirmed the plan. Prichard is expected to stay with WWE as a consultant, but he would no longer handle his current creative duties or be based in Stamford, Connecticut.
One source pointed to WrestleMania as the end of Prichard’s run in the role, while another said the timeline could still change. No successor has been named.
WrestleMania 43 is set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027. WWE has not announced exact dates or a venue.
Prichard returned to WWE full-time in 2019 and has led the Raw and SmackDown writing teams since June 2020, working under Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Prichard has been away from WWE for much of 2026. Conrad Thompson said on 83 Weeks this month that Prichard needs neck surgery for a 1991 injury suffered when the Ultimate Warrior attacked him during his Brother Love days.
The report did not give a reason for the change.
