Jeff Jarrett says territory promoters, including his father, focused on what happened between the bells, while Vince McMahon focused on everything around the match.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett brought it up while former WWE co-president George Barrios was talking about solving problems by turning them around.
“I think the territory promoters, my father definitely leaned the way I’m about to go,” Jarrett said. “For the lack of a better word, the territory promoters really concentrated on, hey man, we got to figure out what’s best bell to bell. That’s it.”
“Vince went the other way. I’m not really worried about bell to bell. The action. I want everything outside of it. The entrances, the music, just all the everything outside of it.”
Jarrett said McMahon “revolutionized the business and took it to a whole other level.”
Jarrett’s father, Jerry Jarrett, promoted the Memphis territory.
