Jeff Jarrett says he is a “delusional optimist” and that he got it from his father, Jerry Jarrett.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett said the title of George Barrios’ book, Sometimes Wrong but Never in Doubt, reminded him of himself and his father.
“I get this from my father. I believe I’m a delusional optimist. And I just think that is a part of… I’ve come to accept it. That’s kind of part of who I am,” Jarrett said.
“But I used to hear other businessmen kind of give a knock on my father. They’re like, ‘Man, Jerry is so naive. This guy’s doing this. This is never going to happen.’ But my dad was like, ‘No, I’m going to make it happen.'”
Jarrett said the book’s title took him back.
“I’m like, yeah, that’s kind of in my DNA.”
Jarrett and Barrios had signed next to each other at a recent convention.
“Karen was like, ‘You’re giddy over there.’ I said, ‘He’s my hero.’ It’s not a wrestler. It’s not a manager.”
