Dave Bautista has gained 20 pounds as he prepares to play Kratos in Amazon’s God of War TV series.
Bautista showed his new physique in a video on his Instagram Stories. He said he has spent the past two months focused on weight training and now weighs 250 pounds.
Bautista was cast as Kratos in August, replacing Ryan Hurst, who was injured doing a stunt on set. Amazon MGM and Sony TV recast the role after briefly pausing production.
The series is being developed by Ronald D. Moore and has a two-season order, with both seasons to be filmed back to back. Callum Vinson plays Atreus, and the cast also includes Mandy Patinkin as Odin and Ed Skrein as Baldur.
