Shawn Michaels says NXT often has to scramble when wrestlers are called up to WWE’s main roster.
Michaels discussed it on Busted Open’s NXT Halloween Havoc preview.
“If an injury happens on a main roster standpoint and they were going towards certain storylines and a major person went out and they need somebody in there… they could pull out a person and boom, they’re there and then they’re done, and you don’t get an opportunity to finish up a storyline or something of that nature. So those are always real possibilities,” Michaels said.
“You just learn not to sell too much and understand that those things are gonna happen. If you’re going to be here and work in NXT, you just kind of get used to that possibility happening.”
“We find ourselves scrambling a lot, but that’s the joy of the job, to be perfectly honest. It’s tough sometimes, but it’s also exciting because it keeps you on your toes.”
Cruz Montana was called up to Raw days later, joining Royce Keys’ group, The 946.
