Rey Mysterio says his daughter, Aalyah Mysterio, has had her first live match at the WWE Performance Center.
On the What’s Your Story? podcast, Rey said she trained at the Performance Center for two weeks on her own.
“I got her to go to the PC for two weeks without me being there. Waking up every day, training, going back home, sleeping, waking up next day. She did that for two weeks,” Rey said.
“On the last day, they asked her, like, ‘Hey, I think you’re ready to have a PC live match.’ She’s like, ‘I don’t know. Am I?’ They were like, ‘Yeah, you are.'”
“So they helped her put the match together. Norman Smiley was her coach, and she had her first match. And when I saw it, I was like, ‘No, there is no way.’ I’m probably biased… but I just, there’s something special there.”
Aalyah, the sister of Dominik Mysterio, signed with WWE this year. The Undertaker said in October, “I hear she’s down there, killing it, man.”
