AEW star Leila Grey has revealed that WWE Hall of Famer Chyna is a major inspiration for her, stating she aspires to emulate “The Ninth Wonder of the World.” Chyna, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, left an indelible mark on women’s wrestling with her dominance and unique presence.
Speaking on Hey Ew! with RJ City, Grey discussed her wrestling influences. “No, I’m a fan of the revolution too. But the Attitude Era is what got me into this… I wanted to be Chyna. I want to be the next Chyna,” Grey declared.
This ambition highlights Grey’s desire to carve out a similarly impactful and powerful role within AEW’s women’s division. Chyna was known for breaking barriers and competing against both men and women, a path that Grey seemingly admires as she looks to make her own mark in professional wrestling.
