Despite recent unfortunate injuries to both Zoey Stark and Liv Morgan in matches involving Kairi Sane, there is no backstage heat on the superstar. A report from Fightful Select states that the WWE locker room does not hold her responsible, as both situations are viewed as coincidental accidents.
The first incident on the May 19 episode of RAW saw Zoey Stark injure her knee on a missile dropkick attempt. Weeks later, on the June 16 RAW, Liv Morgan dislocated her shoulder during a match with Sane. Both Stark and Morgan required surgery and are now sidelined.
The report notes, “There is zero heat whatsoever. Zoey’s was an accident that happened when she jumped off the top rope. Liv’s was a freak accident on a basic move.” It was also added that Kairi was very concerned and distressed backstage after both incidents.
