John Cena’s 16-Man Tournament Just Got A Shocking New Challenger

John Cena’s retirement tour is set to conclude on December 13 at the Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. During this past weekend’s SNME broadcast, Cena announced that his final opponent would not be hand-picked but would be the winner of a 16-man tournament, which he dubbed “The Last Time Is Now Tournament.”

Cena posted about the tournament on social media, writing, “For over two decades, I have tried to make the most of every opportunity I’ve been presented. On December 13th, I’d like to repay the favor. The Last Time is Now Tournament begins next Monday in Boston!”

The announcement of a 16-man tournament did not stop former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley from inquiring about her own eligibility. In a response to John Cena’s post, Bayley asked a simple question:

“Can women be in the tournament?”

While WWE typically does not book intergender matches, Bayley’s question highlights the high stakes and the desire of everyone in the locker room to be a part of such a historic match. The 16-man tournament is set to begin on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw and will feature competitors from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and potentially even stars from outside of WWE.
